Summary

Osteoporosis and heart disease represent a significant public health problem, resulting in substantial public health impact.
Recently published data on vitamin K2, a special form called menaquinone-7 (MK7), demonstrate its unique effect and quite astounding benefits on heart disease and bone metabolism.

Vitamin K2 is emerging as a key factor in regulating calcium in the body. Insufficient vitamin K2 leads to decreased bone mineral density, a key factor in osteoporosis, and to have an excess of calcium in the arterial wall, which increases the risk of heart disease.

Technical data
Vitamk7TM is available in powder and in oil, suitable for different dosages and formulation. Gnosis guarantees higher concentration upon request.
Obtained through natural fermentation production process Vitamk7TM is completely natural and solvent free.

Although it is available only as a nutritional supplement, MK-7 appears to have the potential to prevent or even reverse some forms of heart disease and, at the same time, to do the same for bone loss, without the side effects that sometimes accompany the use of pharmaceuticals to treat these diseases.

For this purpose Gnosis has developed a Vitamin K2 pure form, assay > 97%, available upon request.

Clinical studies

Several studies indicate that Vitamin K2 can act as a modulator factor in calcium metabolism, favouring the deposit of calcium in the bones and taking it off from the bloodstream where it can result in calcium precipitation in arteries, aorta, soft tissues including muscle, breast, kidneys and in heel spurs.

Vitamk7TM (MENAQUINONE 7), exclusively manufactured by Gnosis, is the active isomer of Vit K2 with the highest bioavailability and longest half-life in the blood. Clinical trials were perfomed by Gnosis on the effect of Vitamk7TM on the gamma carboxylation of ostecalcin in vivo study, and on PGE-2 synthesis in bone forming osteoblasts in vitro study.
