CEE consumers are looking for new joint health solutions

According to FMCG Gurus, only around half (51%) of global consumers were satisfied with their joint health in 2023, a notable drop compared to two years earlier (56%). Although joint health is an established dietary supplement category, it has experienced high growth in 2023 across several CEE countries (Euromonitor International).

Key points:

  • 62% of Polish consumers recognize the link between bone & joint health and overall health, and 27% have taken nutritional supplements in the last year to address it (FMCG Gurus)

  • 59% of global consumers in 2024 wish to see more products that promote bone & joint health (FMCG Gurus)

  • “joint support” was listed as the no. 2 reason occasional supplements users would take a sports nutrition product (Natural Products Insider)

  • leaders are launching next-generation joint health products based on undenatured type II collagen and pain-reducing ingredients

  • products addressing joint pain are seeing high commercial success (for example, Medex’s joint health product has become a bestseller with the best consumer feedback out of all company’s products)
